"My parents' visitor visa was refused and I had no idea what to do. I came to Skyrise and they reviewed both the refusal letter and our documents carefully. They explained exactly why it was refused and what we needed to fix. They prepared a strong reconsideration application and the visa was approved within 2 months. The whole team was very supportive. If your visa is refused — do not give up. Come to Skyrise first."

Yes. Most consultations take place via phone or video call. We serve clients across Canada and internationally.
What languages do you serve clients in?+
We provide full services in English, French, Hindi, and Punjabi.
Fees & Retainer
How much do your services cost?+
Our fees vary depending on the type and complexity of your matter. We provide a full written fee breakdown in our retainer agreement before any work begins.
Are there government fees on top of your fees?+
Yes. IRCC and IRB processing fees are separate from our professional fees and paid directly to the government.
What payment methods do you accept?+
We accept Interac e-Transfer, credit card, and bank transfer.
What happens if my application is refused?+
Our fees cover the work we perform. We will advise on appeal or reconsideration options if a refusal occurs.
Express Entry
Am I eligible for Express Entry?+
Eligibility depends on your work experience, education, language ability, and which stream (FSW, CEC, FSTP) you qualify under. Contact us for a full eligibility assessment.
How long does Express Entry take?+
After receiving an ITA, you have 60 days to submit. IRCC typically targets 6-month processing from submission.
What is the CRS score and how can I improve it?+
The CRS awards points for age, language, education, work experience, and job offers. We assess your profile and identify strategies to improve your score.
Work Permits & LMIA
What is an LMIA?+
A Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) authorizes an employer to hire a foreign worker when no qualified Canadian is available.
How long does an LMIA take?+
High-wage positions typically take 4–6 months. The Global Talent Stream can be processed in as little as 2 weeks.
What is the Francophone Mobility work permit?+
The Francophone Mobility stream (C16) allows employers to hire francophone workers outside Quebec without an LMIA.
My work permit is expiring — what should I do?+
Apply for a renewal at least 90 days before expiry. If you apply before expiry, you may continue working under maintained status.
Refugee & Protection
What is an RPD hearing?+
An RPD hearing is a proceeding before the Immigration and Refugee Board where your refugee claim is evaluated. As RCIC-IRBs, we represent you directly at this hearing.
How long does a refugee claim take?+
The average processing time is approximately 21 months.
What happens if my refugee claim is refused?+
You may appeal to the Refugee Appeal Division (RAD) within 15 days. Other options include PRRA or H&C. Contact us immediately.
Spousal & Family
What is the difference between inland and outland spousal sponsorship?+
Inland is for spouses already in Canada — they can remain here during processing. Outland is processed abroad and is often faster.
How long does spousal sponsorship take?+
Inland typically takes 12–18 months. Outland can take 12–24 months.
Can I sponsor my parents?+
You can apply under the Parent and Grandparent Program (PGP) when it opens. A faster alternative is the Super Visa.
Inadmissibility & Removal
What does inadmissible mean in Canadian immigration?+
Inadmissibility means IRCC or the CBSA has determined you do not meet the requirements to enter or remain in Canada. Grounds include misrepresentation (s.40), criminal convictions (s.36), security (s.34), and health (s.38). An inadmissibility finding can result in a removal order and a bar from re-entering Canada.
Can I overcome criminal inadmissibility?+
Yes — depending on your situation, through deemed rehabilitation (if enough time has passed), individual rehabilitation, or a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP). We assess your record and recommend the most appropriate path.
What is a s.44 report and what happens after?+
A s.44 report is prepared by a CBSA officer when they believe a person in Canada is inadmissible. Depending on the grounds, it can be referred to the Immigration Division (ID) for an admissibility hearing, or a removal order can be issued directly. You should seek representation immediately.
What is a misrepresentation finding under s.40 IRPA?+
Section 40(1)(a) IRPA makes a foreign national inadmissible for directly or indirectly misrepresenting a material fact. A finding results in a 5-year inadmissibility period. We prepare detailed Procedural Fairness Letter responses to prevent findings before they are made.
Procedural Fairness Letters
What is a Procedural Fairness Letter?+
A PFL is a notice from IRCC indicating concerns about your application and giving you an opportunity to respond before a final decision.
How much time do I have to respond?+
Typically 30 to 60 days from the date of the letter. Contact us immediately upon receiving a PFL.
What is a s.40(1)(a) misrepresentation allegation?+
Section 40(1)(a) of IRPA prohibits misrepresentation of any material fact. A finding can result in a 5-year ban from Canada.
Can Skyrise help with PFLs about credentials?+
Yes. We specialize in s.40(1)(a) PFLs involving credential issues, third-party agent misrepresentation, and employment record discrepancies. These are time-sensitive — contact us immediately.
